Ms Nell’s Kids
PERSONAL THOUGHTS
Of all the marvelous technology surrounding us, making our lives better, have you ever considered how little of it you have actually seen manufactured? Super computers, the Internet, new drugs that cure illnesses and the list goes on and on. Obviously, we know that they were made because we see what they do. This concept reminds us of Ms Nell.
We never saw Ms Nell teach a class, but we have seen what her teaching has produced. We never observed her constructing a lesson plan, but we have seen children who loved school and learning. We do not know exactly how she managed her classroom, but we have seen the smiles and hugs she still gives and receives from her former students. There is much we do not know, but one thing we do know is that her teaching produced intellectual and spiritual growth in her students.
Ms Nell has now retired from teaching Kindergarten children, but not from teaching. Before retiring she wrote, “God has given me children for many years. I always wanted to give them God more than anything else.” At that time she had no idea that her voice would for generations to come continue sharing the Bible story with many thousands worldwide through the Internet (see Contents for Ms Nell Tells “Stories from the Hebrew Bible”, “The Greatest Love Story Ever Told”, and “The Way Home”). Over her 35+ years of teaching, Ms Nell personally touched hundreds of children, preparing them for the 1st Grade and life.
Ms Nell shares some of her thoughts from a lifetime of experience teaching Kindergarten children. She shares her thoughts in the hope that they might encourage and strengthen those dedicated and special ones who are now or who hope to become teachers of children. Ms Nell’s life is a legacy of love – unwavering love, care and personal dedication to the physical and spiritual growth of children. We all need to remember that sharing the love of Jesus with children is an eternal legacy.
